How it was made?

The Bungalow was constructed by locally sourced timber and traditional methods. Blending harmoniously with the natural environment.

Bungalow was built during the British Colonial Period. The structure reflects the British architecture and tribal craftmanship, featuring wooden floors, wide verandas, and slowping roofs designed to withstand hill station's cool, rainy climate.

Who built it ? 

        The bungalow was built by British forest officers. They used it as a base to monitor the vast surrounding forest areas, rich in wildlife including elephants. Overtime it became a guest house for government officials, and later a spot of interest for tourists and eco-tourist exploring kandhamal.

October to March(Best time). The weather is cool and refreshing. It is most recommended time to visit.

July to September(Monsoon) Lush green during the month. Creates a mystical landscape.

April to June(Summer) Though it is warmer, the altitude keeps the climate moderate.

👉 Tips: Visit between November to February. When hills are covered with morning fog and the wildlife is more active.
